Student Shadow Day at Bonner

A student shadow visit at Monsignor Bonner is the starting point for a great future. As a shadow
visitor, students will spend the school day with a Bonner student. Shadow visitors attend classes, are
our guests for lunch and go to any school-wide events taking place on the day of the visit. The goal
of the shadow program is to offer elementary school students an opportunity to experience a typical
day at Bonner.

When scheduling a shadow visit, you may request to shadow a current Bonner student or we can
assign you a host based on your classroom or extracurricular interests. We recommend that students
shadow freshmen to get a realistic feel for what a freshman schedule is like at Bonner. However,
we understand feeling comfortable with your host is very important to the overall experience and will
arrange an upperclassmen host at your request.

If you are interested in scheduling a shadow visit, contact the Admissions Office. Whenever possible, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance of the anticipated
visit so that we may notify the shadow host and prepare for the visit, ensuring the most positive
experience possible. All grades are welcome to visit Bonner.

Notes to Remember About Student Shadowing at Bonner:

  • Typical shadow days are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:42 p.m. Please report to the main
    office at 8:00 a.m.
  • We will provide you with a lunch voucher for you to eat in our cafeteria with your host.
  • We ask that you come dressed in uniform (khaki pants, black or brown shoes, white golf shirt
in the fall and spring or shirt and tie in the winter).
  • Shadow visitors may want to bring something to read in case the host has a quiz or test on
    the day of the visit.
  • Typically we dismiss at 2:02 p.m. on Thursdays. If you have any questions about dismissal time,
please contact Tom Oropeza at (610) 259-0280 ext. 1206.
  • Pickup occurs at the end of the school day. Students are responsible for their own transportation.

Enjoy the day, ask lots of questions and take personal tours of the school to get a full Bonner experience.
