Bonner's philosophy states that "the practical conclusion is that an Augustinian school constitutes a Christian community in which everyone – faculty, students, staff, alumni – share a common faith and a life of grace in Christ. This family, then is committed to the production of educated, Christian gentlemen who can make a positive difference in their world." Some graduates have chosen to continue this philosophy directly within the halls of Bonner.
