Tuition & Tuition Assistance Information

Tuition
Tuition for one student in the secondary schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is $5,350.00 for the 2010/2011 fiscal year.  Besides tuition, there are various fees. The difference between the tuition and fees which are charged and the actual cost of operating the school is made up from fund-raising activities

Tuition Assistance and Scholarships

Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)
Although tuition continues to be an excellent value as compared to the tuition in other dioceses and in private schools, we realize that it puts a serious strain on some budgets.  In order to assist families in providing for a Catholic school education, the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) has been established. The school's Tuition Office can provide information on how to apply for education loans, which provide eligible borrowers with up to the cost of education including tuition, fees and related expenses.  Academic scholarships are given on the basis of academic achievement and need.  Financial assistance, based strictly on need, is available by applying for tuition assistance from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Anthony C. Coll Memorial Scholarship

Tony graduated from Monsignor Bonner in 1959.  During his four years at Bonner, Tony was a leader, active in all aspects of "Bonner life."  He was a member of the football and baseball teams, the student council and was the President of his graduating class.  His awards as a diocesan all-star football player and recognition as a true sportsman at Bonner were punctuated by Tony being named as the high school recipient of the Sportsmanship Award by the then Philadelphia Bulletin newspaper.  Most significant though in Tony's time at Bonner was his constant willingness to participate in and support all school activities as well as his classmates.  He recognized the tremendous contribution of the "Bonner Family" - which included the Augustinians, the students and entire Bonner faculty - to his development as a young Catholic gentleman.

Tony continued that commitment to Bonner as an active alumnus, by working with other members of the "Class of '59 to support the efforts of this special school family.  Tony's efforts and dedication to his Alma Mater were recognized and rewarded when he received the coveted Services Award from Monsignor Bonner in 1990, and again in 2002 when he was inducted into the Monsignor Bonner Hall of Fame.  Tony signified in his life the value of faith, family, church and community.  The Anthony C. Coll Memorial Scholarship is awarded once every four years to an  incoming freshman.  It is valued at $8,000 or $2,000 a year for four years.  The deadline is January 15, 2008.
